New Format for Following This Blog

Blogger (who hosts my DebbyKratovilQuilts blog here) is no longer offering the option of getting an email notification whenever I post something new. After June, this service disappears - poof! into cyberspace. Maybe that's ok with you. But, if not, then I have set up another service which will take up where Blogger leaves off. And I will still offer FREE patterns (see them below!)

This is what you look for at TOP LEFT of this page

You can find the above image/link at the top left of my home page. It's hard to see on a laptop and almost impossible on an iPad or iPhone. This new service is NOT going to harass you with annoying ads. It's just a way for you to transition over from Blogger (which turns off their email notification on June 30).

If you can't see it or just want me to do this for you, send me an email: kratovil@his.com. Then, I will enter your email and hit "Subscribe." Then YOU will get an email (not me) that asks you to confirm.

Now, let's see a quilt or two to entice you to stay with me! Blazing Star is a FREE pattern that I designed for Windham Fabrics. It was supposed to be a workshop last weekend with the Road 2 California quilt show, but we didn't have enough students signed up. This was made using the Recorked Collection. Click on the link and the pattern is yours!

Blazing Star: 69" x 69"

Here is my real quilt, also made with some Windham Fabrics. This collection is called Broken Stripes and I still have a few scraps left. It's still not quilted (I'm thinking, ok?)

Blazing Star: 34" x 44"

And one more rendition using fabrics from P and B Textiles. This is a table runner or wall banner. Another FREE pattern.

Blazing Star Banner or Table Runner

So, you can see that I regularly offer FREE patterns. I design for several fabric companies. They pay me so you can be enticed to buy their fabrics to sew up the FREE patterns. What a deal, huh?

So, go ahead and sign up with the new Feed.it service. Otherwise, you'll have to try and remember to visit from time to time - and, of course, you're always welcome!

    1. Hi, Loretta. You come thru as anonymous so I have no way to contact you. The sign up ICON is at the top left of this page. Don't click on the pic in this post (it's just an image). I will be doing more sleuthing about this as June rolls on. There's got to be a reasonable way to do this and I'm honestly trying to keep it simple. Thanks for your interest! Debby

    1. You might want to mention that when you click the Home button to get to your main page that you need to click on the menu ||| dashes to see the new subscriber option. Then you also need to confirm the subscription from the email sent to you. It only signs you up for Debby's blog - nothing else. But it will show you other 'tempting' things you could follow!

    1. Brenda. It's getting better. I found an even better way by putting a signup icon at the end of every post. Now if I can figure out how to find a list of those who sign up for the new service . . . Follow.it is NOT intuitive. Too many words!

  9. Hi Debby!! If this helps anyone else - I clicked on the arrow in the upper left corner, and then on the 3 little horizontal parallel lines that popped up, and then the place to enter the email popped up. I did so and received my confirmation email. I am using a laptop.

    1. Thanks, Jeannine D (former neighbor, ha ha). Yes, it makes sense. My blog re-do a few months ago has changed a few things. Laptop, desktop, phone, iPad, etc - all display differently.

I did not see the image you have above on your home page until I clicked on the 3 little horizontal lines at the very top left of your home page. I signed up there, but I also changed my sign up to my Google email.
