Big Block Hexagons Workshop
This is a great way to stitch through those stacks of 10" squares (Layer Cakes). We quick cut our hexagons and triangles using a multi-sized 60 degree ruler (most quilters have those; I have my own, affordable rulers for those needing them). We sew our horizontal rows together without y-seams! Select a color palette and a neutral background fabric and you can make this as large as you wish.

You can make your quilt as big (or small) as you wish. This technique can be adjusted with various sizes of starting strips and squares. This larger quilt uses novelty prints.

7-1/2" strips will get you to the same result! |
All cutting is done with a multi-sized, blunt tipped 60 degree ruler. I bet you have one in your sewing room! We cut triangles (big and small) and even our hexagons are cut with our rulers!
