Lenin, Stalin, Kruschev, and you made an adorable pinafore apron. So cute! I have a question on the Timtex though. Never used it before. Because it's stiff, does it make it real difficult to turn the dolls right side out afterwards? And thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLenin, Stalin and Gorbachev. The lined pinafore is adorable! I have a dear friend from Russia who I would love to make the nesting dolls for. Thanks for the chance!

ReplyDeleteI LOVE the way you went outside the box to make the fabric nesting dolls from the fabric. You're right; I would have cut them out, sewn them up, and then added stuffing to make individual dolls.
And the little apron you made to replace one left behind is adorable as well. I really like the lining you used with the front of the apron. So pretty.
I am sure my email is on my profile, but just in case:

ReplyDeleteGreat fabric! Soviet leaders included Stalin, Lenin, Kruschev, Gorbachev, ... As usual your trip outside the box is successful and creative, Debby. I love the flat dolls with pockets to hold the next smaller doll, and the pinafore for Eva is so sweet! May I be reincarnated as one of your granddaughters? (janeherbst at roadrunner dot com)
Lenin, Stalin, Gorbachev,Kruschev, I made an apron/top like this for my girls when they were little(they are in their 30s now). I didn't have that pretty fabric, I just used flour sacks. Yep, still got them in the 70s and I saved them.
ReplyDeletelenin, stalin, and kruschev, thanks for the giveaway. love your doll idea.
ReplyDeleteLenin, Stalin and Gorbashav..Nice apron you made for your daughter...eyreka1@gmail.c0m
ReplyDeleteLenin (smallest), Stalin, Khrushchev, Brezhnev and Gorbache= the leaders
ReplyDeleteYou made reinforced dolls like paperdaolls and the amock/apron for the child.
Khrushchev is unmistakable, as is Gorbachev's head. Stalin and Lenin are the smaller ones, I think. Breshnev's eyebrows give him away. =) Love that little apron, it's so cute! But the dolls are the best. I wouldn't have thought of doing the nesting pockets. In fact, I was wondering how you could make fabric nesting dolls. Well, you showed me! Thanks for the chance to win. dezertsuz at gmail
ReplyDeleteHa ha I thought I had to remember those names and actually I did (4)but with my spelling you never would have known it Lenin, Stalin, Kruschev, Gorbachev especially Kruschev (Crewcheif) anyway I so love the little apron you made I think the faced or to my mind reversible version is so darn cute
ReplyDeleteAnd your so clever with the dolls I would have loved those to take to church with my granddaughters a nice quiet set to keep the little ones busy
