Animal Week: Day 9 and TWO FREE Patterns
Today I want to feature cats and dogs. I've had both for pets over the years. Dogs, cats, bunnies and even some hamsters and guinea pigs! Here is a cat pattern that I've made a few times. I call this Fat Cat and it first appeared in my 2006 Quilter's Block a Day calendar. The name of this quilt is Fat Cat in the City. I made 4 different neck ties for my Fat Cat and I used a fabric collection by Benartex. This appeared in an issue of Fons and Porter in 2009 or 2010.

I used my pattern to create a digital version for Windham Fabrics using The Cat's Meow collection. Yes, this is the FREE pattern!

Then there is the Dogs and Cats Unleashed! My little grandkids liked this. Such a cute collection.

Here are some of those fabrics:

And wolves are related to dogs, right? This is a fun collection that features Red Riding Hood and that crafty wolf. And you can find the TWO free patterns by clicking the link.

And a matching pillow that does NOT have those tricky y-seams. The pattern gives a link to my Magical Mitering tutorial.

I've run out of steam. I have lots more animals in quilts, but I think you've seen quite a few to get some good ideas. And don't forget to download those FREE patterns. Enjoy!
