Welcome to my Kona Solids Hop post. Many thanks to
Madame Samm of Sew We Quilt and Carol of
Just Let Me Quilt for keeping us in line. These hops are ONLY possible because of the partnership of our fearless leaders. And a big shout-out to my friend Jeannine (which you will see why at the bottom of the post).
I tried to limit myself to just a little bit of fabric to force my brain to get creative. I have way too many large quilts; something small is easy to start - and finish.
(I was just notified that my little quilt made for this hop was picked up by a magazine for their summer issue, so there won't be a tutorial. Sorry!)
Just a little color, that's all I wanted. While I love the sunrise, it's the sunsets that have my favorite hues!
|
A set of Kona charm squares in the Sunset Colorway |
Sliced off a strip from each 5" square. (I do hate those pinked edges, don't you? I know why they do this - prevents raveling, but hey - is it the peak or the valley for measuring a 1/4" seam?)
|
Ordered from Quilt Taffy again - she had exactly what I needed |
Now, why did I slice a piece off? Hmmm. Check out the finished quilt below . .
|
I used a 60 degree ruler to cut these triangles and combined them with Kona Snow fabric. |
Did I ever tell you I was a high school math teacher? I have no aversion to math; in fact, I love it all. Give me a formula - ask me to divide and multiply. Figure out angles. I'm in heaven. On to my story..
And, how does it all look together? Remember those cutaways? They are my border.
|
Facets of Color - my way (yes, not 1,000 pyramids, but close?) |
I took the little bits of leftovers from cutting the triangles and made this:
|
Combined the little cutaways from the Thousand Pyramids triangles |
|
Added some more Snow and Color triangles |
|
Don't you love how even little bits of fabric can become something awesome?!! |
I have enough leftovers to make 6 of these blocks. They are 11-1/2" high. I'll keep you posted.
I agonized for 2 weeks about the quilting. I wanted something "modern". I told my friend Jeannine and she offered her Bernina walking foot, which fits my faithful Bernina 1230. What can I say? except THANK YOU, JEANNINE. This was truly amazing. No folds, no pleats, no wrinkles - and it lies flat. Yes, I teach free motion quilting (which I only do on my Pfaff 2144 and I get marvelous results), but this was a fun thing to do on my Bernina.
|
Facets of Color from the back of the quilt |
Thousand Pyramids is a traditional pattern that I've made several times. That is the name of this Kona quilt. What do my other quilts look like?
|
Bright Triangles with Dragonflies Border |
|
Zig Zag Safari baby quilt with matching pillows |
What's my giveaway? A set of 3 half-yard cuts in a sunset color, a sunrise color and a neutral white background:

Congratulations on your pattern being published. It is a pretty little thing. And I love your play with all the scraps/cut aways. I am a sunrise person - love mornings.
ReplyDeleteI'd say it depends on where I am. On vacation in Hawaii, I prefer sunsets...relaxing on the beach watching the sun sink on the horizon. Here at home, I love sunrises (when we have them in Oregon) because they're like the starting gun on a new day full of potential to get some quilting done! pbstrand@msn.com aka Beth @ Words & Stitches (who is excited to share a hop day with you, I'm a big fan!)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool to have your pattern published. Congratulations! I love your quilt and design...beautiful! Thanks for hopping with us and sharing your gorgeous creation.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is wonderful. Congratulations on the publishing of your pattern. Sunsets are the best!
ReplyDeletehow I love your quilt and amazed at what can be done with the left overs, wonderful. Like you I have a loved bernina 1230. Sunrises are my favourite, have lots of photos taken from my front garden but they have now built on the filed opposite and have lost the best of them as the roofs are in the way
ReplyDeleteYou never disappoint with your creative quilts, and these are just as terrific as usual. I am a sunset kind of girl, as I usually like to sleep in, so see very few sunrises!
ReplyDeleteI love how your quilting turned out! It's hard to pick which is my favorite color line. I think they're both perfect and it depends largely on the project I have in mind for them.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the quilt being picked up by a magazine!
Very nice quilt. I love the way you used everything... the cut strips for the border and the small cutaways from the pyramids to make that great block. I love sunrise and sunsets and all their colors for different reasons. I love sunrise ... it's the dawn of a new day! I also love to watch a sunset and reflect on that day. I cannot chose between these color palettes either. I am not undecided. I just love 'em all ... :-) Pat
ReplyDeleteBig time congratulations to you Debby on your pattern being published ... yay you!! Beautiful work and I adore your triangles ... I was looking for such an idea for a different project so I am very inspired to see your quilt. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt and the colors you picked! I prefer sunsets as sunrise is a bit early for this night owl! Thank you for sharing and congratulations.
ReplyDeleteSunsets are my favorite because I see them most often. I'm just not a morning person. Love the fabric you chose for your quilt.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is fabulous! The straight line quilting does give it that modern feel. And I love the clever blocks you made with the left overs. Well done!
ReplyDeleteI love the quilting you used. It compliments the quilt
ReplyDeleteFormer math teacher here, as well (stay-at-home mother at the moment)... Love your quilt :) As for sunrise or sunset? They both are beautiful, and I do look forward to my bed at the end of the day (sunset), there is just something special about the possibilities of a brand new day... So sunrises for me!
ReplyDeleteI am a sunrise person; and especially like yellows. Love your quilt!
ReplyDeleteYour work is beautiful!! I enjoy the beautiful sunsets we have here in the desert SW.
ReplyDeleteSunrises make me happier, but I'm usually asleep for them. I loved the sunsets over the ocean when I lived in San Clemente.
ReplyDeleteDebby, you are the master of working with triangles! I am madly in love with that hexagonal piece. The diamonds look so neat made out of triangles (oh, oh - and your piecing is perfection). And I adore the simple little quilt made with equilateral triangles. So simple and beautiful. Love them all!!

My husband and I recently retired to Hawaii. From our back lanai we watch the sunrise every morning -- what a treat! Sunsets here are equally beautiful. Gosh, I love them both!
ReplyDeleteDas gefällt mir sehr gut, vielleicht versuche ich auch mal diese Pyramiden.
ReplyDeleteGruß Sylvia
Sunset is my favorite with all of its colors, it can put you in a relaxing mood watching them.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Quilt Debby. I am really loving triangles right now myself. I love what you got with the scraps. I am a sunrise person. I just love the mornings. I do love a pretty sunset too. It amazes me how the colors differ.
ReplyDeleteI love your use of triangles - must try some with my sizzix die
ReplyDeleteI am a sunrise person - up and away in the mornings for me
Color-wise, I prefer sunsets. However, for watching, I prefer sunrises.

ReplyDeleteA wonderful quilt!
ReplyDeleteI prefer sunsets.
Love your triangle quilt, hint about what magazine? Sunset is definitely my favorite!
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt and the design. Thanks for sharing your creativity and being part of this hop.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your pattern being published.... your resume continues to grow! Love the sunsets but I think it's more because of the feelings it brings... the end of the day, a time to reflect and relax. Thanks so much for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteHello dearest sweetest grandmama, I just love how a lllll that math paid off… I love calculus and algorithms…my fav top at U. So why can't I do this lol….I love your pattern and congrats that it will be published soon…
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the publication! Your quilt is totally cute!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Debby. Congratulations on the pattern getting published! I prefer sunrises. Since I live on the East Coast, a sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean can't be beat!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilting! I love sunrises best because they are the start of a new day!
ReplyDeleteI like sunsets better. Sunrises are hard to catch. Thanks for the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteI knew that I'd love what you created for this blog hop!! How wonderful to have your pattern published too!! I have my eye on making a diamond quilt (similar to Kaffe Fassett's Cool Diamonds) but am nervous to mess up... angles, bias... etc I would appreciate any tips!! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteYou always make the most wonderful quilts and this one is just awesome! Congratulations on being published again..I know that must be so fun! I'm a former math teacher to so I always love the triangles. :). Blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteIt is a little after 7 a.m., and I am up a bit later than usual. I prefer sunrises, but I have to admit to REALLY enjoying sunsets when I lived in Florida. I never saw any to rival them.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours in you quilt! I love sunrises and sunsets, though I see more sunsets! When we lived in the Arctic both sunrises and sunsets were amazing. I've never seen such beautiful indigo shades wrapping all around the horizon except there.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on being published. How cool is that? Love your color selection and it is a sweet little quilt. Where I live, I love both the sunrises and sunsets. So much color in the sky.
ReplyDeleteI am a morning person so I prefer sunrises. But I do love the blues in the sunset bundle.
ReplyDeleteThats cute! I love the colors and the little strips around it. Where I live, both the sunrises and sunsets are spectacular, I can't choose which ones are best!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt. I am a sunset woman. Mostly due to the fact I am never up to see the sun rise. This time of year we have very little sun.
ReplyDeletePublication? ....congratulations!!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful pattern and it makes those great colors work so well.
Congrats on your lovely quilt and on getting it published too. I am a sunrise girl, I love seeing the beautiful pinks we get in our sky in the early morning. Thank you for a fun giveaway too.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting your pretty quilt published. I like both if I am up in time for the sunrise that is, lol. Thanks for the great giveaway and for sharing. vickise at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteOh, what a choice! Sunrise for the promise of the day would have to be my favorite. But I do like sunsets with the firey close to the day, too. Too many trees here in town to see them from home, though.
ReplyDeleteLove your cute triangles. I just got a triangle ruler and I am anxious to use it. Sunsets, of course.
ReplyDeleteCongrats.. MS. kRATOVIL, I got a math question, after I tell you how nice this is.. where is 2 7/8 on these rulers. someone should make a ruler with just the hard marks, make them stick out ..

ReplyDeleteLove the pyramid quilt. Too bad we will have to wait for the mag, but it was wonderful to see it.
ReplyDeleteI also like the "leftovers" quite a lot.
I like sunrises, tho I don't see many nice ones living in town as I do.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt, and congrats on the publication! Love the way you quilted it, too. :) I love both 'suns,' but my favorites are the sunsets.
ReplyDeleteI want to make a 1000 pyramid quilt someday. Love yours. WTG on getting it published.
ReplyDeleteI think sunset is my favorite but really I love them both.
I love sunrises b/c everything is fresh and new. Sunset means the day is over.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Sunrise. I love your quilt design...nice & clean look. I'm a math major and can relate to your calculation enthusiasm. svonfumetti at yahoo dot com
ReplyDeleteSunset. Love your quilts
ReplyDeleteI love your quilt! Sunrises are my favorite, it's always so quiet at that time of day.
ReplyDeleteSunset for sure.
ReplyDeleteI love sunsets! I saw a bright strip of sunset this week that look like a blaze of fire. It had been a cloudy day and I think the sun was trying to peek out just before setting.
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say sunsets. :)
ReplyDeleteWell that's a tough question! Choosing between the two....but I shall go with the Sunrise, since it comes first. :)
ReplyDeleteI see why they loved the quilt and wanted it in their magazine. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI love sunsets.
Very pretty, Debby! Amazing what you were able to do with the leftover triangles. What fun!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on having the pattern published!

Your quilt is beautiful! I prefer sunrise - the start of another busy day! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI love the triangles. So simple yet so captivating. Sunrises are the best.
ReplyDeleteI live in Arizona and we have the most spectacular sunsets (plus I'm not sleepy!) sewingblogsarefun@yahoo.com

ReplyDeleteI love it, Debby! What a great use of the Kona solids! I'll be watching for it in the magazine!
ReplyDeleteI love sunrises because it means the day is beginning! But then, our sunsets in south Texas are gorgeous and colorful, so I love them too!!!
Beautiful work, I really love what you did with the leftovers from your triangles , gorgeous ! I am a sunset kind of girl , we have some pretty awesome sunsets here . Thanks for the chance .
ReplyDeleteDebbie that is a beautiful quilt! I love sunsets best.
ReplyDeleteI like sunrise best. It seems more peaceful. Not everyone is up and out to see the sunrise so it is like your own private time to enjoy what the Lord has laid out for you!
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteI love mornings, can't keep my eyes open late at night.
Love the zig zag safari quilt. My new grandson's room is decorated in wild animals, this will be a cute WH for him.
also, you mentioned your 1000 pyramids would be in a magazine, but you didn't say which magazine. I don't want to miss it when it comes out.
Joan in GA
I like sunrises best...dawning of a new day.
ReplyDeleteWow triangles can definitely play tricks on your eyes. I love your quilt & how you used all the "leftovers". I am definitely a morning person but I like sunsets.
ReplyDeleteI love sunsets and alouso how you used all the little scraps.

I'm a sunrise sorta person - love to think about the possibilities for the day! (Love those colors together in your quilt!)
ReplyDeleteyour quilt is fabulous and your quilting just makes it pop. thanks for sharing. Congrats on getting your quilt pattern into a magazine. I love watching sunsets and sunrises. they are so wonderful. the colors that appear are such a reminder of God's creativity.
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts! I love the Thousand pyramid pattern and hope to try it this year. My favorite is sunset.
ReplyDeleteLove Kona solids so anything is a pushover for me. I have been using a lot of grays lately. I think sunset would be appropriate for a quilt I have in mind. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSunsets definitely! I don't get up early enough for sunrises. I love to scrap play as well and love your little design. Congrats on your pattern being published.
ReplyDeleteWow another pattern published! Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove the way the leftovers made such cool blocks:)
I love both as long as they are beautiful:)
Beautiful. I wish, I had a math mind. Things just start to glaze over for me if I have to think about it! LOL! It's Sunsets for me. I started my work day at 4am, for many years. Those days are gone. I don't like getting up in the middle of the night! LOL!! You always delight us with your creations! ;-)
ReplyDeletesunset over a lake
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with your scraps, and the way your quilting turned out! I personally would much rather WATCH a sunset, but I think the colors of a sunrise are the best. Too bad for me... ;)
ReplyDeleteI am definitely a Sunset kind of girl; many years ago we could see fantastic sunrises from our home, but I realized how much I missed the sunsets. I love your baby quilt and the quilting!
ReplyDeleteI love the Kona sunset charms in your triangle quilt - great job!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilts - thanks for sharing. I'm a morning person, so I prefer sunrises. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteSunrise would be my favorite, a new day, new opportunities.
ReplyDeleteI started off in this blog hop loving the sunrise but as I went on each day sunset grabbed me. Now I am totally undecided on which one I love the most.
ReplyDeleteluv you something from nothing quilts!

ReplyDeleteI much prefer a sunset because I am not a morning person!
ReplyDeleteSunset colors! I really like them both but I see more sunsets than sunrises!
ReplyDeleteThe only way I see a sunrise is if I am up from the night before! The ones I have seen have been beautiful, but sunset in Las Vegas, not on the strip, but in the mountains, was spectacular. I love the triangles. Did you use the larger of the cut off parts for the triangles?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your quilt being published, I'll have to make sure I pick up a copy. I love the sunrise colors but as a night owl I really don't want to see a sunrise unless I'm still up. Every once in a while I catch a beautiful sunset full of beautiful pinks and oranges so that makes me happy.
ReplyDeleteNothing not love here!! You are so amazing...
ReplyDeleteHELLO,CONGRATS ON YOUR PATTERN BEING PUBLISHED>SO NEAT!
ReplyDeleteI'D SELECT "SUNSET" (by then I'm awake-lol!) Thanks for sharing!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
Debby, your quilts are always so stunning. It does not surprise me your newest was picked up by a magazine. I only hope it's one of the magazines I subscribe to.
ReplyDeleteI prefer sunset myself. The colors are usually more relaxing and with so many different shades. Plus, it means the stresses of the day can be let go.
I love your quilt and your quilting choice is perfect. What you did with your scraps is also stellar. Me personally, I'm a sunset kinda gal. Oh and congrats on having your pattern published.
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is lovely...please let us know what magazine ir will be in. Also, I like both collections, but prefer Sunset a tiny bit more.
ReplyDeleteOh MY...what beautiful colours
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good sunset!
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good sunset!
ReplyDeleteGrowing up and living on the Oregon Coast most of my life, I've always loved to watch the sun set over the ocean.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt and also your hexagon block! Fantastic!
ReplyDeletelove tour tri angle quilt
ReplyDeleteI love the sunset colors. I am fascinated by the star you made from leftovers. What intrigued me was adding pieces around it, the star disappeared.
ReplyDeleteDo I prefer sunrises or sunsets -- that is an easy one since I am definitely not a morning person. I knew I wasn't a morning person the day I cracked the egg over the kitchen sink, however, seeing the egg go down the drain did wake me up:) But I have seen some really beautiful sunsets! Nancy: rangerer@sbcglobal.net
ReplyDeleteVery cute quilts, love the colors. I prefer sunrises, since I am a morning person and it is so quiet in the am.
ReplyDeleteSunrise. I like to welcome in a new day (but seldom do!). Either way, too many trees around here to see either on the horizon.
ReplyDeleteSunsets because the colors are so saturated. Thanks!
ReplyDeletelovely projects!
ReplyDeleteever since we moved to the country we get some amazing sunsets, so I think those are my favorite....
I like sunsets. I'm not a morning person so I can't really appreciate sunrises. I'm too grumpy that I'm awake that early!
ReplyDeleteLove it! It looks spectacular! love the extra block you got as well. Wow, who knew picking sunrise or sunset would be so hard. Today I pick sunrise. :)
ReplyDeleteI love both. 24Tangent@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteYour quilt is beautiful and I love the piece you made with the leftovers. Congrats on your quilt being in a magazine.
ReplyDeleteSunrise - another chance. (of course sunsets are a time of reflection) As a new quilter, solids are less scary to use. I am loving this hop. Happy New Year from Oklahoma, USA. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com

Congrats on the pattern pick up by the magazine! I love your quilt. So bright and cool looking. I, too, love sunsets and the colors that get revealed. thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteGreat quilts! Thanks for sharing how you used all the spare pieces to make something news, I'd go with sunset.
ReplyDeleteFacets of Colour is delightful. I like how you used the entire charm. I am partial to sunsets as I get to view magnificent ones through my front windows and from our deck year round. I enjoy sunrises too but I am not so often out of bed at that time of day; especially during our northern summers. Thanks for sharing. Congratulations on having your pattern published.
ReplyDeleteWow, I certainly like how you put the colors to work on the little quilt. And that pieced star is very Sharp. Thanks for sharing, K
ReplyDeletebeautiful stars and colors
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on getting published this summer! Your quilt and you deserve it. It's fabulous to make use out of the leftovers - it's like dessert after dinner!! Well, I like both though I'm not an early riser so I see more sunsets. Oh, a few years ago on a trip to Hawaii, we got up at 2 a.m. to make the trip by van to the top of Haleakala on Maui. What a sunrise that was!! Then, we biked down the volcano to return to our starting point. What a ride - what a sunrise!!
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is gorgeous, and so are the others.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your publication.
I guess I will have to say sunsets, because I'm seldom up for the sunrise. I'm retired, and I tend to stay up late and sleep late.
Congrats on the pattern being published!! The triangles are so pretty, thank you for sharing. I like sunsets the best.
ReplyDeleteI have to say sunsets, especially if they are over water. Love your quilt
ReplyDeleteHow fun for you to have the pattern published! :)
ReplyDeleteYour quilt looks wonderful and the block you made with the leftovers is really lovely too. Great job.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts! I prefer sunsets. They occur at a much more reasonable hour of the day...
ReplyDeleteWhat's a sunrise? Guess that must mean I love sunsets!
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt colors. I love blues. I enjoy a good sunset. Sunset means I'm on my way home and soon I can sit and relax and forget about a long day.
ReplyDeleteI'm just catching up on the hop and you've blessed my eyes with your gorgeous quilts. Thank you. Amazing color combos. There's a lot of math in quilting and that's why your quilts are so perfect.
ReplyDeleteI prefer sunsets, I took you vortex quilt class at tinley park and really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it. thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI prefer the sunset. Both colors are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love sunsets because I can sit in my kitchen and watch them. You didn't say if the giveaway is open internationallly or not - I'm in the UK.

ReplyDeleteI think there's nothing more beautiful than a Texas sunset.
Congrats on having you pattern published. Love your quilts, math I must say was always my weak spot and I can't imagine someone loving it lol. I love sunsets.
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely a sunset kinda person! Thanks for the giveaway chance. I love what you did with your Konas. I didn't know you were a math teacher before. I was a teacher, with a minor in math, and all that stuff isn't scary to me until we reach calculus. LOL dezertsuz at gmail
ReplyDeleteOh I'd go for the sunset. Thanks for all the great ideas. I've never done a solid color quilt and your projecta are certainly enticing.
ReplyDeleteOh I'd go for the sunset, have a thing for purple and blue lately. Thanks for all the great project ideas. I've never done a solid colored quilt and you're enticing me to give it a try.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm a sunrise person...at least when it's only me and my coffee. Congrats on getting your pattern published.
ReplyDeleteSunset, thanks
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the pattern. It is very lovely. I like sunsets best.
ReplyDeleteI think sunrises are more lovely, but that may be because I see so many less of them.

It must be sunrise I think.
ReplyDeletejachelno(at)gmail(dot)com
I love your little pyramids and quilting on the back. What a good use of the scraps from the triangles. I might try something like that, but maybe that should be an idea for another class!!!
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing you in class in Atlanta in March!
Sunset is my preference, I'm not an early morning person! I love what you did with the leftovers and thank you for the offer.
ReplyDeleteSunrise for sure!
ReplyDeleteI'd have to say I love the sunset colors! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely sunset! Gorgeous quilt!
ReplyDeleteHi,Congrats on your pattern!
ReplyDeleteI'd choose 'sunsets'!
Thanks for hopping+sharing!

I'm not surprised that you were a math teacher. When I went to college, I knew I wanted to be a math teacher. My mother was a math teacher and so was my brother. Now my daughter is. Well, I took the first computer science class offered at our university and the rest was history for me. I did finish my math and education majors and got my computer science minor. I love the challenge of math. Your quilt is fabulous and I'm thrilled that it has been picked up by a magazine. You are a talented lady. I am definitely a sunset kind of gal. I tend to like pastels. Of course, there can be some dynamic sunsets, too. Your quilting is terrific on your quilt, too. Thanks for participating and being a great inspiration for all.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Quilt!!! Love it!!! Is on my Gotta Do List now...lol
ReplyDeleteLove Sunsets!!!! tho Sunrises can be sooo Special too...makes this a hard Question to answer ... Arrrrrgh!
I'm a morning type (most of the time), there's always the potential for something new and fresh. What a sweet little quilt :)
ReplyDeleteOOO, that's a hard one! Especially b/c those skies are so beautiful in Texas! I'd have to go with sunset, mostly b/c I'm NOT a morning person! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteSome days I'm a sunrise person and some days it's more about the sunset. Congratulations on your pattern being published!
ReplyDeleteI prefer sunsets.
ReplyDeleteI like sunsets, because I'm not a morning person, and usually I get to share my sunsets with my husband so it's more special. I really like the star you're making with the left overs, that will be a pretty neat quilt as well! Thank you for sharing Debby!
ReplyDelete~Brandy
I'll look forward to seeing your quilt published this summer. Sunsets are a winner hands down with me. Those gorgeous deep colors speak to me and help me unwind from the day. Just a little free mental health therapy. Sunrises are beautiful, but I rarely have time to enjoy them so give me plenty of sunsets to make up for missing the sunrises.
ReplyDeleteMaureen Heck
I love your little quilt. The colors really appeal to me. Love both sunrises and sunsets but if I have to pick, I'll say sunrise. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI like what you did with the scraps. Do you have a plan for them yet? I think they would make a nice table runner. I like sunsets. I'm awake for a lot fewer sunrises. :) Thanks for the chance to win.

ReplyDeleteI really like how small fabrics combined together strategically can become something with such a big impact! So beautiful! I love sunset!
I live on a hill and get to enjoy both sunrises and sunsets...
ReplyDeleteI think I enjoy the sunsets more because I can have a glass of wine and sit on my porch and enjoy it thoroughly!
I prefer sunsets. Maybe because I'm not usually up at sunrise!! :o)
ReplyDeleteI like them both, but would have to say sunsets are best. After a days work relaxing on the porch with a cup of coffee. Love your quilt!
