Winner is chosen: Anne of Boulder, Colorado, chose the Winter coloring book. Congratulations, Anne!
I am not an artist. I raised one and she can draw just about anything. Me? Squares, triangles and stick figures! Quarter inch seams are so exciting; I like to have that sort of control!
Schiffer Books sent me two more review copies of these beautiful coloring books by
Kristy Rice. Then I got nervous because they were beyond my squares, triangles and stick figures. Here is the cover of the Fall collection
Just like her
Spring and Summer books, this is also a 60 page book with 25 watercolor pages for coloring. (Click that link and you can read my review of those.)
There are tips and hints on how to use both watercolors and colored pencils. Lots of color illustrations.
Let's see a few of the pages:
|
Autumn Leaves with watercolors |
And a few pages from the cutting garden:
and one more . . .
|
A lovely page asking for COLOR! |
And how about an owl? (Or maybe he belongs in the Winter book?)
|
Owl in the Berries |
Which takes me to the Winter book:
And a few of the awesome pages:
|
Amaryllis |
And how about some animals, hum?
|
What a beautiful fox! |
Take a visit to
Kristy's web site to see a lot of her work, be inspired by her gorgeous flowers and artistry and generally pretend you can do the same thing (by buying one of her books!)
The books are beautifully done with tri-fold covers to help keep your place and lots of sample pictures. If only I was the coloring kind . . . But if you are, YOU CAN WIN ONE OF THESE.
I have both the Autumn and Winter coloring books. Tell me if you like to color and if you do, let me know which one you would like. I will randomly draw a winner Sunday October 8th. Contest is over Saturday, October 7 at midnight.
Contest is open to USA residents only (it's the cost of postage; if you want to pay postage and live outside the USA, just let me know and I'll include you in the drawing.)

Those books are amazing! I would love the fall one if I was lucky enough to win. I will have to look for these at my bookstore. They are just lovely!
ReplyDeleteI haven't colored in an adult coloring book yet. The pictures are lovely.
ReplyDeleteI would love to color in the Fall book. Thanks for the wonderful giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThey are both lovely! I'd be thrilled with either--if I had to choose, I'd probably pick the Winter book, but either one would be a happy surprise.
ReplyDeleteI admire such talent. So pretty
ReplyDeleteI do love to color. Both of these coloring books are great! I might like the fall one a little more though. Thanks so much for the wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI haven't colored in years. Since I'm a gardener the spring/summer book speaks to me.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter is encouraging me to start coloring to stimulate my brain and while both are great,I would pick winter if I needed to choose one.
ReplyDeleteÐebby, you are so sweet to share these!
Love to color summer works for me - thanks.
ReplyDeleteI like the winter edition, although both are beautiful. I see some thread art using the pictures.
ReplyDeleteWith the cold settling in here in Colorado I would go for the Winter book. Have bought a couple of wonderful colouring books but given them to little people. Now it might be my turn. Thank you Debby.

I think they are both beautiful, especially the fall book. Her drawings are great since they look more artistic than coloring book-y!
ReplyDeleteI love to color, though I'm not great at it! I would love to win the winter book. Thank you for the opportunity to win! (lynnstck[at]yahoo.com)
ReplyDeleteI LOOOVE to color!! :) Love the Autumn book,,,but was hard to choose one :) Thank you for chance to win your Give-a-way too! :D
ReplyDeleteI would love to color the Fall book. Thank you for sharing this amazing artistry.
ReplyDeleteI haven't got into coloring yet, but I keep thinking I should--especially when I see beautiful designs like these!
ReplyDeleteI can't decide which I like more. Fall is my favorite time of the year but winter would give me chances to play with colors I seldom use. Of course I wouldn't use it in the winter. (it' too cold here.)
ReplyDeleteBoth books are cool! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
ReplyDeleteI love Fall so the Autumn Book intrigues me. Thanks. I hope I'm the lucky one.
ReplyDeleteColoring is a great thing to do and very relaxing. I like both books. Both seasons, Fall and Winter, have their own set of colors, feelings, and emotions. I think I would like the Winter book the best. Thank you for this great giveaway.
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful books. I do love to color and would like the winter book.

Hello Darlene; I am not a coloring person, but you choose if I should be entered or not. I would love to use the Winter Book with the animals you shared to copy and "paint" with embroidery stitches! So, I respect your choice to enter me or not to enter me! Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteMaybe the Autumn one, although I would be very excited to receive either one. I do like to color, but my teenage granddaughter is really quite the artist--might give it to her!
ReplyDeleteI love everything Fall! That's my choice. Thank you for sharing! 🍃🍁🍂🌻
ReplyDeleteI color pages AND color with threads. I'd love to try to digitize some of these

ReplyDeletethe winter one would be my favorite to color.
Thank you for the chance to win one of these beautiful books. I'd love to have both, but either one would be awesome. I enjoy your posts.
ReplyDeleteI would be pleased with either of the two coloring books. If I had to choose, I would pick Winter.
ReplyDeleteEither would be great but I guess I love the colors of fall most of all seasons. Thanks for your blog and all you do for us.
ReplyDeleteI like to color, but I have no time these days, so don't pick me. I'm just commenting on that fox - wow, so pretty! And the bouquet from fall is also appealing.
ReplyDeleteOh how beautiful. I do love to color, never outgrew it. Either would be appreciated if I were to win, but I may choose the autumn.
