I Love YOUR Quilts!

Image
They've been piling up, those fabulous quilt pictures from YOU. Projects you've made from my patterns either from here on my blog or from a class you've taken from me. I thought I would take some time to honor your work. This will take a few weeks because I'm already up to 40+ pictures! Did I say "WOW" yet? These are in no particular order. But you will agree with me that they are each beautiful. This is from Alice W. of Maryland who took my Modern Vortex class (center block). She added all those extra blocks to turn this into a Quilt of Valor. Very, very clever. Lucky recipient! Alice W.'s Modern Vortex Quilt of Valor Next are some finished quilts from a guild in Canada. These are 4 of the ones entered in the Medicine Hat Quilt Show. Can you believe these? The 2015 Galaxy of Stars BOM is still available here. See tab at the top of this page (or click that link). Stars From My Bloggers

I came across this quilt made many years ago and gifted to a young couple for their wedding. This uses one of the blocks I've already given you. But look how you can create a different look by adding the Four and Nine Patch Block. Isn't that fun? Phil and Kat's Stars I have had several bloggers send me pics of their stars so far. Can I show them to you? First, here are Amy's blocks. I love that center star. It's one of my favorite blocks! Amy's Blocks Amy sent another pic of her blocks arranged in a different assembly: Amy's Blocks all together Now for Marie T's blocks. She is using purple in her center star. Marie T's blocks Now, how about Maureen's blocks with the white background? I love it! Maureen's Blocks It's ok to be behind. This is NOT a contest or a race. Just sew at your own pace. Maybe you can catch up in the next month or two - or never! I just want you to have fun. My November block will b...

Galaxy of Stars from My Bloggers

Image
I have received several photos of the progress of the Galaxy of Stars blocks from YOU bloggers. I wanted to share them with you. Yes, it's OK to NOT have made even one of the blocks yet. I often work that way: save up all the patterns and then make them all at once. But, I do know many of you have been trying to stay up to date. Here are some of the pics! Amy O. sent these just yesterday: Amy O's blocks so far! Marie T's blocks If you sent me pics of your blocks and they're not here, please email me and remind me. I have a very full in-box and sometimes things get overlooked! If you would like to see your blocks here (even if you've only done one), please do send pics. We would all be inspired! Thanks, blogging friends. Keep up the sewing. There are close to 1,000 of you who are participating in this BOM. And, yes, I'm planning another BOM for 2016. Maybe even two. What are you interested in? While it may not change my plans, I do like to hear...
