But it was quacking really loudly in the closet and I had to let it out! The fabrics are SO glorious, aren't they? I used some of my Kaffe Fassett prints and they did not disappoint. Double Geese: 18" x 18" With such a large block you can use large scale prints (as you can see). They won't be chopped off into little, tiny pieces. Those five squares are cut 6-1/2". My Flying Geese units are 3" x 6" and are wonderful to show off those "wavy" prints. I pieced a few dozen of these without a plan in mind. Then - voilá - this block appeared! I have these leftover. 3" x 6" flying geese units with nowhere to go Now for another block to beg me to make it using the rest of these units. I'll wait for them to call to me from the drawers where they are sleepin...

I'm retiring my Circle of Geese workshop and was able to get ONE more quilt from my box of sample block parts. I actually had the center toile motif interfaced and ready to star in the middle of a circle of geese. I added sweet borders and off she goes to my local guild for our charity endeavors. The center is exactly like the one in my last book. Toile Garden Medallion: 38" x 38" Here is the pattern as I taught it a few years ago for the Hershey Quilt Show. I call it " My Geese Have the Blues ." Everything is stepped out in the 11 page pdf. I truly love these colors! Each of those 4 blocks/units is 12" x 12". Sashings are 2".
