Block a Day Calendar: Day 2

Another day, a few more blocks. We are in November and with colder weather, we like to stay inside and sew! Yes, I know some of my followers live in the Southern Hemisphere and it's closing in on Summer. I lived in southern Africa for a few years and I remember that November and December had some seriously warm weather during these months.

Facets of Color is a quilt I published in my second book, Supersize 'Em Quilts (2009, Martingale). I made a large, four block quilt. 18" blocks for a 65" x 65" quilt. This same block AND quilt pattern is part of the Quilter's Block a Day Calendar. This, along with 11 other quilt patterns!

I even made a two-block table runner. Don't you love these browns?! Same 16" block.

Here is the block that Patricia made.

Here is another quilt that uses Flying Geese. I called it Geese in Flight. First, the block as created by Patricia.

And the beautiful quilt you can make with 4 of these blocks. They are set on point. This is a great way to showcase a gorgeous print.

Check out all 366 blocks at my website. They are arranged alphabetically.

Check out the Etsy Calendar CD listing to see several more quilt photos. I'll be back tomorrow with a few more quilts.

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. Hi Debby! I wasn't able to comment yesterday (at work and didn't have time to mess around with why), but I sure am enjoying these posts. I especially LOVE Geese in Flight. ~smile~ Roseanne
