Do you still have your 2015 quilting calendar?

What a crazy thing to ask! 2015 is long gone. But I have discovered that the days of the week correspond with the 2026 calendar. So, January 1 in 2026 falls on a Thursday. So did January 1 in 2015, so you can enjoy the blocks and quilt patterns again!

2015 Block and Pattern a Day Calendar

There are almost 250 quilt blocks for 68 quilting projects! That is a BIG wow, don't you think? I began creating these block a day calendars in 2006 and my last one (like this) was 2020. Of course, I've just released my 19th block a day calendar with C&T Publishing and that is what's called a perpetual calendar. That means it is not tied to any one year. The one pictured above is - but now it's being recycled for 2026!

There are several projects that were created by my former senior editor Jean Ann Wright. We did this together for a few years and then I went solo again.

The first quilt "out of the box" is the Kaleidoscope. It's one I designed for Benartex fabrics and then repurposed for this. I call this Merry Go Round with 12" blocks and a 48" x 48" quilt. The Etsy listing shows 4 more quilts made using this kaleidoscope pattern!

Yes, there are templates but if you have a kaleidoscope triangle ruler it would make it much easier.

Another project for the month is my Zoo Buddies Quilt. I drafted these using Adobe Illustrator. They are updated from the Kansas City Star. I've even made a real quilt using these wonderful Roly Poly redwork designs.

A quilting friend in Atlanta did the redwork for this and it was published in Quilt Magazine around 2002. You can get this 50 page pdf in my Etsy store!

The 2015 calendar at the top has the patterns for 9 of these adorable 9" redwork blocks! If you've still got the calendar then you're in for a treat.

That's all for now. Go look for your 2015 calendar and follow along with me through the year. Yes, I will be sharing blocks and quilts from my NEW calendar, so you will never be without lots of quilting inspiration.
