Pinwheels On Point

Today's block is Pinwheel on Point. Very simple using two sizes of triangles.

Pinwheel on Point: 9" finished

I made a quilt about 20 years ago for Quilt Magazine and this was from the professional photo shoot:

Bright Pinwheels on Black

I have no idea the size of the quilt because I may not have been using a 9" block. But it's bright and cheery and I love the striped border. I even mitered the corners!

I have a lot of 9" blocks in my calendar. Do you have your copy yet?

Check your local quilt shop for my calendar. It's also back in stock with C&T and other retailers!

and in Barnes & Noble stores

  1. Another beautiful quilt I did a sampler quilt that was once on the cover of the Hancock catalog when I went to the AQS quilt show in Paducah, which every culture should go there that’s amazing. Oh my gosh, you would never imagine the whole town is quilters I used to be in a racing business and I’m convinced there’s more quilters and racers and that’s an amazing amazing show anyway I went to the local Hancock there in Paducah, which I loved I hope they’re still there. They may not be but on the cover of their book was a sampler quilt so I did make a pinwheel then but I don’t believe it was on point and yours is absolutely gorgeous. Wow, you do beautiful work. Do you have a book that has the different quilts and patterns for it in it or does the calendar also have the instructions? I love that border that fabric looks amazing. Did such a great job

  2. Sorry for the typos above and the first few sentences. I meant every quilter should go to the AQS quilt show. I’ve noticed voice dictating lately. They don’t pick up on a lot of words they get culture instead of quilter and there’s other words that are say more current instead of traditional and that’s what they seem to put our words as but anyway yes every quilter should go to the AQS culture and Paducah I feel it’s so inspiring a magnificent and sees gorgeous works like yours. I’m sure you’ve been there and displayed there
