Mosaic Block for Today

Today is May 9 and we are one block #9 in our journey toward 12 blocks in the Indigo Sampler. If you have my new calendar, then you have kept up with the cutting and stitching information for each day. And, remember? I gave you the general fabric supplies a few days ago. (I'll put them in again at the bottom of this page.)

Mosaic Block: 18"

Even thought it's hard to see, there are NO y-seams. It's all straight seam sewing, but some of those seams will be along a diagonal. Here are the general fabric supplies:

Of course, you can make this in any colors you wish, but you'll have to reconfigure the information above. Keep in mind, that white is the general background color, so probably no fiddling with that.

There are just TWO blue prints that are used for the outer logs around each block (the light and dark blue). The light blue (has little dragonflies in the print) is 1-3/4 yards and the dark print with the stars is also 1-3/4" yards. They are also used in the 46 Castle Wall border blocks!

Let's see the quilt again:

Of course, you will need your own copy of the calendar to know how to cut and stitch each of the 12 blocks. Remember, if you don't have yours yet, the 15% off coupon is still available until the end of this month (May).
