Blog Housekeeping
For some reason, Blogger will not let me comment on any comments made here. Many of my visitors come through as "unknown" with no email. I have NO WAY to get in contact with you or answer your questions.
I'm not sure why this is. It is very frustrating for me. I am NOT ignoring you. I read every single comment made. They come through as an email to me, but only a few have valid email addresses for me to reply.
I just didn't want you to think I'm an "absent landlord." It is very meaningful to have you visit and make lovely comments about my quilts and lessons.
Now for a quilt fix:
Here is a quilt I made in 1996 out of deconstructed swastika blocks. A friend gave them to me; I took them apart, and used some reproduction fabrics to make these stars.
I even hand quilted this!
The combination of fabrics that span over 100 years. Who would have thought?

I just figured out this mystery! I switched browsers and can now comment on my own blog using Firefox. Who would have known? Google Chrome? Locks me out (even tho Blogger is a Google product.) I say: Watch out. The internet is very dark and scary and collects all sorts of your personal data. And here we thought we were just sharing quilt pics and stories. Ha!
ReplyDeleteIt's all so frustrating; I know. You will never get an email for my comments if I use the Google option because my email address doesn't match my email provider. It happened when verizon stopped providing email service but gave us the opportunity to keep our address and all our files and switch to AOL. Then DMARC intervened and you don't get notified and I get a maeler daemon saying you did not get the email. So I have to select the Name/URL option (not all blogs that I follow offer it) in order to comment and hope the blogger reads the blog post comments too, instead of only relying on the emails. But I know bloggers are busy and can't always do that, but I still try to comment.

Debby do you use a Mac to post your blog? I found there was one setting changed when I did an update that made it impossible for me to comment on any blogs. Too weird. But eventual someone had the same problem and figured it out. Fun times keeping up with computers.
ReplyDeleteHi Debby! That is SO very odd. Especially since it is a Google product. I have found that I have issues with some websites using Chrome that I don't have with Firefox or Safari. However, who wants to switch between multiple browsers?! I'm glad you figured it out. ~smile~ Roseanne
